DESCRIPTION

Gutta-percha is a hard rubber material made from the sap of a Malayan tree. It is black or brownish-black in color and was popular for mourning jewelry during the Victorian period. This beautiful antique pin has elaborate carved edges and a splendid decorated top of a carved rose. It has the "c" clasp and measures 1-1/4 inches in width and 3/4 inch in height. This is a small treasure in wonderful condition that happens to be more than 150 years old.
