This is a Victorian Lady's 14k yellow gold Brooch/Pendant with black taille d'epargne enameling, circa 1860-1870. The design is dainty with four petals of a flower in the center along with a pearl. It measures 1-3/4
inches by 1 inch and weighs 5.0 grams and is in excellent condition. Taille d'epargne is an enameling technique, engraved design partially filled with opaque enamel, usually black. This brooch has a straight hinged pin with a "c" catch and also an "s" curved bail that makes it possible to wear this work of art as a brooch, a pendant hanging from a necklace, or as a watch pin. This is perfect to collect and wear, this estate piece is sure to be treasured for generations to come.
