Art Nouveau Sash Pin

DESCRIPTION	This is a graceful Sash Pin that is hand incised with a lovely Art Nouveau Motif from nature. The term Art Nouveau, which means "new art," possessed an exotic and sometimes erotic influence resulting in shapes representing free-flowing hair, sensuous nude bodies, flowers and insects in asymmetrical form. The pin measures 2-1/2 inches in width and 2 inches in length. It has the old "c" clasp. Art Nouveau began around 1895 and lasted until about 1914. This wonderful jewelry is rare and hard to find. This is a lovely piece from that era.
