Matisse Renoir Jewelry Blue Enamel Pin and Earrings

DESCRIPTION

This distinctive 1950's set of pin and earrings are burnished and lacquered copper with colorful enameling on the surfaces of the pieces. The pin is shaped like an artist's palette with three copper wire paint brushes through the thumb hole of the palette. The earrings are a smaller version of the same design. The pin is signed "Matisse" on the heavy pin back and the earrings are signed "Renoir" on the silver-tone clips. The pin is 4-1/4 inches long and 1-3/4 inches wide. The earrings are 1-7/8 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. This set makes quite a statement; it should be worn artistically.
