Sterling Moonstone Earrings with Gold

DESCRIPTION

These beautiful earrings are from the Arts and Crafts movement which coexisted with Art Nouveau (1890-1914) and was a reaction to the mechanized industrialization that had overtaken manufacturing. This movement highlighted the aesthetic rather than the monetary value of the materials. These Earrings have a finely crafted naturalistic motif of flowers and leaves. The center has a cabochon Moonstone with a silver-blue sheen in the light. The Moonstone is a sacred stone in India and it has long been treasured as a gift for lovers. The leaves on these exquisite earrings are Rose Gold. They are marked Sterling and have screw backs. They measure approximately 1 inch around. These Earrings have a Romantic Style that promoted the importance of fine craftsmanship. They are Fabulous!
